Kids Receive R1 million For Madiba's Birthday Over 700 excited kids attended an exclusive birthday party in honour of past president Nelson Mandela and Matlosana Mayor China Dodovu held at Thabong Crèche in Jouberton on 18 July. Kids from all over KOSH where invited and transport was arranged to get the kids to the venue. After spending a fabulous day of fun and laughter, with jumping castles, face painting, cake and much more, each child received a backpack full of goodies and a warm sweater to last them through the rest of winter. And as if this wasn't enough, Matlosana Mayor China Dodovu was inspired by the happy children to donate a generous R1 million to the kids, in the form of crèche development across the KOSH area. All registered crèches in the area will be assessed and the money will be used to uplift and improve the crèche facilities.
