The South African National Blood Service (SANBS) invites all
healthy people, between the ages of 16 and 65 years, who weigh
50kg or more and lead a safe lifestyle, to celebrate Valentines
Day by donating blood.
Every day in South Africa, 3000 units of blood need to be
collected to supply patients in hospital with life-saving blood.
Give a gift straight from the heart this Valentines Day. Take 30
minutes of your time and donate a unit of blood and keep another
heart beating.
It's all about love and what greater love can there be than the
love for others in need.
Many blood centres throughout the country will be celebrating
Valentines Day and there will be a special surprise for all who
donate a unit of blood at these centres on Valentines Day
