Klerksdorp Beauty a finalist in Miss Earth SA
Riandi Booyens one of our local beauties has once again made it
as a finalist in the National Miss Earth pageant. The 22 year
old beauty is a third year student at the University of
Johannesburg studying Industrial Psychology.
The Miss Earth South Africa is a programme that aims to empower
young South African women with the knowledge and platform to
create a sustainable difference in their plight to combat the
destruction of our natural heritage.
The event helps create awareness of our environment, wildlife
and the conservation of our natural legacy in South Africa, and
ultimately the preservation of Mother Earth.
The goal is to create sustainability through environmental work.
Now more than ever before South Africans are experiencing issues
of global warming, climate change and sustainability. Energy has
also become a crucial denominator.
Miss Earth SA aim is to promote peace, respect and humility
towards one another. |
